Coronation Prayers

Our fellowship is with Christ and one with another.  We meet within that fellowship to offer praise and thanks to God, to ask his forgiveness and to pray for one another and the needs of the world.

Our prayers are with King Charles on the occasion of his Coronation

Thank you Lord for our gracious king.

Let this coronation be a true celebration of his reign.

We pray that he is surrounded by the love and support of all members of his family, household and subjects.

May he draw closer to God and so find strength and comfort as he fulfills his role.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen

Dear Lord, may your Hand guide and direct Charles and Camilla as they accept the huge task of monarchy of our realm.

Give them your grace, Your power of forgiveness, Your energy and Your love as they support all those of faith and all those of none.

May they support not only the Commonwealth but all our brothers and sisters worldwide regardless of race, colour or creed and may they strive in everything they undertake to bring peace and harmony to all.

Father God, be with them. We pray for Your blessings on our King and Queen.

In Jesus name Amen

Coronation Prayer

O,God,

who provides for thy people by thy power,

and rules over them in love:

grant unto this thy servant CHARLES our King,

the Spirit of wisdom and government,

that being devoted unto thee with his whole heart,

he may so wisely govern, that in his time,

thy Church may be in safety,

and Christian devotion may continue in peace;

that so persevering in good works unto the end,

he may by thy mercy come to thine everlasting kingdom;

through Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord,

who liveth and reigned with thee in the unity of the holy Ghost,

one God for ever and ever. Amen.

O Lord our God, Who upholdest and governest all things by Thy word of power: receive our humble prayers for our Sovereign Lord Charles, set over us by Thy grace and providence to be our King; and together with him, bless, we beseech Thee, our gracious Queen Camilla and all the Royal Family; that they, ever trusting in Thy goodness, protected by Thy power and crowned with Thy gracious and endless favour, may long continue before Thee in peace and safety, joy and honour, and after death may obtain everlasting life and glory; by the merits and mediation of  Christ Jesus our Saviour, Who with Thee and the Holy Ghost liveth and reigneth, ever one God, world without end.
