Sharing ideas from branches.

“Social distancing” does not stop WiF from meeting- in small groups outdoors!

Do look out for these  short news updates as information/ updates are coming in regularly from branches.

Today I’ve just been out at a  small WiF Coffee Morning in the garden.  It was so good to catch  up, and see other members in person.  So much to  catch up on and to share  experiences, review different face coverings, talk about what our churches are doing and  our trips to hairdressers or new skills learned at home and so much more.  Our branch has  had 3 of these running today,  and will do so again regularly over the coming summer  weeks.   They  have been very well received indeed, and much appreciated especially for those who have not had much “people” contact.

Here’s some news from  another  branch  on what they have been  doing:

“Lockdown put us all on-line and we are proud  to report  that as technical skills improved, in many  ways isolation brought us  closer together. Our on-line meetings addressed new ways of expressing  fellowship and after establishing  which members  needed what, useful contributions for an information directory and with possibilities for planned speakers still to provide talks on-line, we set about launching a weekly “sharing” programme of prayers, poems, music, store cupboard recipes, quizzes, slideshows of blossoming gardens and more.

The marvellous engagement  by our members was inspirational.

The  scheduled  reflection  for Ascension went ahead, on-line of course! The preparations for VE Day were completed, using members  contributions, but that presentation has been postponed  until lockdown   is fully  lifted.”

We would  welcome any news ( just a short paragraph) on what your branch has been doing since lockdown, plus any photographs of  activities, creations, art work etc. Do please send them to  [email protected]
