Walton on Thames visit to Brookwood Cemetery
In early September, on a gloriously hot day, Walton on Thames Branch visited Brookwood cemetery near Woking.
This is the largest cemetery in the UK, over 220 acres. It is a grade 1 listed historic park and garden.
A volunteer guide pointed out the many graves and mausoleums of the rich and famous, many of whom had come out of London on a special train where even the dead had to have tickets!
